Wildly Biased Show: Week #12-13

That's a lot of cheeseburgers...

Well hello again, hockey fans! Welcome to a special double-stack episode of the Wildly Biased Show!

Folks, since we last spoke the Minnesota Wild played six games and took points out of them all. A 4-0-2 record in those games has left the Wild a mere two points behind St. Louis for second place the Central Division with games in hand on everybody else.

Phil & I are back to discuss the Minnesota Wild's success over these past couple of weeks.  We discuss all kinds of stuff.

-The surprising success of Darcy Kuemper & his long term prospects with the Wild
-The Jekyll & Hyde performance of the Colorado Avalanche
-The non-existent Niklas Backstrom trade market
-The arrival of Jarret Stoll
-The possibility that Erik Haula has hit his ceiling
-Thomas Vanek's continued excellence
-Marco Scandella's attempt to end Antti Raanta's career
-Mikko Koivu's Selke Trophy potential
-Whether or not we still hate the Vancouver Canucks
-Just how peculiar the careers of the Sedin Twins have been
-The Wild's inability to develop goalies
-Jason Pominville's hot streak
-The official retirement of Keith Ballard

After all of that, we take a trip around the league to have a look at the flotsam of the NHL.

-The end of Patrick Kane's point streak
-The fallout of the Board Of Governor's meeting regarding expansion & executive compensation
-The curious legacy of Pascal Dupuis
-The looming rebranding of the Toronto Maple Leafs & Florida Panthers
-John Tortorella's benching of Ryan Johansen out in Columbus
-The insane contract demands of Andrew Ladd, Dustin Byfuglien, & Jacob Trouba
-STAMMERGEDDON!

All that plus all the non-sequiturs, dead air, & obscenities you could ever want! As you can see, it's a fun week.

We'll be back next week to discuss the Wild's trip down to Nashville and the back-to-back St. Paul appearances of the Dallas Stars and Montreal Canadiens. Going to be a good test.

As always, feel free to drop us a line here on the blog or via e-mail (WildlyBiased@gmail.com). You can also hit us up on Twitter (Phil at @Phileeeeeeep and me at @WildlyBiased). We'd love to discuss the Wild, the NHL, or, really, whatever you feel like talking about.

Wildly Biased Show: Week #6

Well hello again, podcast fans! Welcome to Week #6 of the Wildly Biased Show!

The Wild sandwiched a divisional loss around two victories last week and Trevor & Phil are back to recap all of it. Between the wins & losses they find time to discuss just what's wrong with the Ducks, the future of California hockey, Jason Zucker's franchise-record fastest goal, Darcy Kuemper's struggles, Zach Parise's work ethic, Devan Dubnyk's knee, what's going right with the Edmonton Oilers & who's going to come out of the Pacific Division, Ryan Suter: Textbook Hockey Player.

They also take their monthly long, hard look at the Central Division standings. Can the Preds continue to dominate with D? Will the Stars goaltending hold up? Do the Blues have any idea what they're doing? Do the Blackhawks care about the regular season at all? How scary are the Jets? What's the point of the Colorado Avalanche?

They wrap the show up with a trip around the NHL. Talking about the Habs first loss, the Blue Jackets first win, Evander Kane's unwillingness to show remorse, Jeremy Roenick's alligator wrestling, and the passing of original St. Louis Blue Jimmy Roberts.

As always, the show's free to stream.  Also, as always, be aware that we use some big-boy language on the show.

They'll be back next week to discuss the Wild's first meeting of the season with the hated Chicago Blackhawks, a trip down to St. Louis, and the Nashville Predators first visit to St. Paul of the 2015-16 season. All that plus anything else that comes up and another trip around the league.

As always, feel free to drop them a line here on the blog or via e-mail (WildlyBiased@gmail.com). You can also hit them up on Twitter (Phil at @Phileeeeeeep and me at @WildlyBiased). They'd love to discuss the Wild, the NHL, or, really, whatever you feel like talking about.

Wildly Biased Show: Week #4

Well hello again, podcast fans! Welcome to Week #4 of the Wildly Biased Show!

In this week's episode Phil & Trevor go all the way back to the Wild's home opener and their defeat of the Blues, a nail-biter in Glendale, and the first loss of the season out in L.A. Along the way they discuss the maturation of Vladimir Tarasenko, St. Louis' pointless offseason, the long-term future of the Arizona Coyotes, Devan Dubnyk's struggles, Darcy Kuemper's successes, the availability of Sean Burke, exactly WTF is going on with the Wild's defensive corps, Thomas Vanek's fan-dividing 300th goal, sassy Ryan Suter, the risks inherent to 3-on-3 hockey, Alex Burrows, TempStar commercials, Todd Richards' soon-to-be-non-existent NHL coaching career, Alex Ovechkin's alarm clock issues, and what it would take to cheer for the Young Guns.

As always, the show's free to stream.  Also, as always, be aware that we use some big-boy language on the show.

We'll be back next week to discuss the Wild's first regulation loss out in Anaheim and what will likely be a curb-stomping of the Blue Jackets back in St. Paul in addition to whatever else happens between now & then.

We try to keep it open around here.
